1993 WESTAF/NEA Regional Fellowships for Visual Artists

Lukas Felzmann's large and complex installations depict an awareness of and a sensitivity to the environment coupled with an underlying knowledge that there is beauty and hope tangled amidst the dichotomy of the environments possible destruction and the imminent terror of that knowledge. Despite the complexity and creativity of the installations, the viewer is very clearly left with simple, basic message that we all are caretakers of the earth.
